User Guide
Introduction
DraftMan is a Confluence addon that helps you manage the piles of drafts (pages and blog posts) on Confluence servers. This addon enables you to list and preview drafts as well as remove or save them.
Access
The addon can be accessed in the space tools or through the Confluence administration depending on the permission of the current user.
Space admin
Space admins can access DraftMan in the space tools. After clicking on the addon, it is possible to select a user but the search will be performed on the current space only.
System and Confluence Administrators
System and Confluence admins can access DraftMan through the Confluence administration. Beside selecting users, admins can select spaces, too. In order to start the search, at least one of the two search fields needs to be filled.
Usage
User and space search fields
The search can be performed with dropdowns. You need to type at least three characters before results in the lists appear.
Preview
By clicking on the Preview button you can check the draft. The style of the preview may be different because not all of the necessary CSS are loaded.
Save draft
While checking the preview, the draft can be saved by the Save draft button. The target space and page need to be selected in the dialog that appears to perform the save action.
The page will be saved under the following title format: {creator name - last modification date[: original title]} where the original title is the one that the draft creator has previously provided.
Remove drafts
If you are sure that the draft is completely useless, you can remove it by clicking on Remove draft. Once a draft is removed there is no way to restore it.
Bulk processing (save or remove)
You have the option to select then save or remove all drafts in the table on the current page. If you want to save the drafts, you need to define the common target page where all of them will be saved. If you remove drafts, they will be deleted permanently.
